201804280805463229_Virat-should-play-in-the-Test-against-Afghanistan_SECVPF

Afghanistan cricket team is playing in his first Test match with India. This is a test match starts on June 14 in Bangalore. The Indian cricket team will tour in England from July to three and play in three 20 ODIs, 3 ODI and 5 Tests. Some players, including Virat Kohli and Pujara, Ishant Sharma, and Ashwin, are willing to play in the England county county match. It is doubtful that Virat Kohli played in the Test match against Afghanistan in the county tournament. Some of the Indian cricket board administrators have opposed this. They have urged Virat Kohli to play in the Test against Afghanistan. An Indian cricket board official said, “If the captain of the Indian cricket team is away from the international tournament and at the same time, it will be a false precedent. It will also be a bad news for the Afghanistan team. Even if the Afghanistan team is much tougher than the Indian team, the team should be respected. If at that time the Virat Kohli County tournament would play, it would be a disgrace for Afghanistan. This will also cause loss to the company that airs the competition. If Virat Kohli played in the county match, he would have to play in the Test match with Afghanistan. The teams. Will he go to the County Tournament without competition? said. “If 6 to 7 players are ready to go to England to prepare for the match against England, then the strong Indian team will play in the Test series against Afghanistan,” said Vinodrai, chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Asked by Shafiq Stonijay, the Chief Executive Officer of the Afghan Cricket Board, “we are eagerly looking to play in the first Test against India. If Virat Kohli stamped up in the world cricket, it would be a big disappointment for our players if they could not play in the match against us. “

Tamil News – MS Dhoni told me I will get batting opportunities in IPL this year : Ravindra Jadeja – Maalaimalar.com

Jadega

Ravindra Jadeja said that he was focusing on batting these days even though his bowling figures have not been impressive in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. Ravindra Jadeja, who is striving to make a comeback, said that he was focusing more on batting now as MS Dhoni told him that he would be getting batting opportunities in the Indian Premier League this year. Jadeja’s bowling figures have not been impressive in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. But the Saurashtra all-rounder is now focusing his attention on batting. “Mahi bhai told me that I will get batting opportunities in the IPL this year. He said that I have the ability of a proper batsman, and I am not the flash in the pan type of batsman. And I should think like that,” Jadeja said in an interview to New Indian Express.

Jadeja, who has been retained by the Chennai Super Kings for this year’s IPL, along with Dhoni, said, “It was really encouraging for me. So, I am concentrating more on the batting aspect of my game and trying to get used to playing the anchor role.” “I am quite happy with the way I am bowling. In fact, I am focusing more on my batting now. I do not want to be a player who is known for hitting those 20-odd runs. I want to play the anchor role, just like I did today.” With World Cup only 16 months away, Jadeja is not ignoring his bowling strength and said that he was trying different angles to bowl. “It  is the most important thing. I am trying to do that. I am using different angles to bowl.”

Speaking on his performance in Vijay Hazare tournament, he said, “If I get wickets owing to mistakes of batsmen, I am not satisfied from the inside. If I think I have done the things I wanted to do, like varying the pace, I am content with that. If I am satisfied with the way I have bowled, I do not think much about other things. If I am executing my plans, I am happy. The pain was unbearable sometimes while playing certain shots. But this was really important for my self-confidence. It is morale boosting. To chase the target (330) under the circumstances is really special for me.”

Tamil News – Australia cricket team needs aggressive approach for 2019 World Cup: Darren Lehmann – Maalaimalar.com

Darren Lehmann

Australia have won only two out of their last 15 ODIs in 2017 and 2018 and coach Darren Lehmann has stressed on the side to fix a core group of players to lead the charge for the 2019 World Cup. Ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup in England and Wales next year, Australia’s coach Darren Lehmann has admitted that his team needs to adapt to a more aggressive approach if they are to retain the global crown. Lehmann said the team was not able to settle upon a fixed core group that will lead the Aussies charge in ODIs for the 2019 World Cup because of the national team’s rotation of players depending on the various formats

“The results are more about execution for us. We had to chop and change a lot of the side depending on what’s happening with the Test arena and going from Test to non-Test and obviously Tests are a focus for us,” Lehmann was quoted as saying by ESPN Cricinfo. “So we haven’t been able to have a settled one day side. I’d like to see us play with a settled side over six months and see what the result is then, see how we play. Lehmann also suggested that skipper Steve Smith and selectors have to be cautious with their selection of players in the buildup to the event. However, the sides improved performance in the ongoing Twenty20 Tri-series gives him hope for a turnaround in the limited-overs format.

“The improved T20 performance gives you food for thought after a long, tough Test series… fresh guys coming in. We’ll sit down at the end of the South African series, but we’ve always got to look forward. World Cup’s coming along pretty quickly, I think there’s about 22 games to go before we play our first game. So we’ll have to settle on a group of players, we think we’ve got a really good group,” Lehmann revealed. Australia, who has qualified for the final, will travel to New Zealand to play their fourth game of the tri-series against the hosts. The Test squad will head west for their four-Test tour of South Africa.

Latest Tamil News – ISL 2017 Match between FC Goa NorthEast United FC ended in a draw – Maalaimalar.com

201802042309440786_ISL2017-Match-between-FC-Goa-NorthEast-United-FC-ended-in-a_SECVPF
FC Goa and NorthEast United FC had to settle for a point each after they played out an exciting 2-2 draw at the Fatorda Stadium on Sunday. Three minutes before the half-time whistle, Mandar Rao Dessai put the home side ahead but the visitors equalised through Marcinho at the stroke of the lemon break. The second half followed the same pattern, FC Goa regained the lead through Coro before substitute John Mosquera leveled the score for NorthEast United. After a timid start to the game, Dessai converted a low cross from Jonathan Cardozo in the box after a deflection from NorthEast United defender Martin Diaz. The deflection found Dessai, who had time to take a touch before firing it low past the goalkeeper.
FC Goa looked set to take the lead into the break. But just before the half-time whistle, the visitors found the equaliser through their Brazilian import Marcinho. A cross into the box by Reagan Singh was deflected of Cezario and fell in the path of Halicharan Narzary, who squared across the goal for Marcinho to tap the ball home.In the second half, the home side regained the lead in the 53rd minute through Coro’s 13th strike of the season. Ahmed Jahouh started the move with a long ball to find Manuel Lanzarote free on the left and he instinctively found his striker charging towards goal at the far post to finish off the move.
After going behind for the second time in the game, NorthEast United threw caution to the wind to find the equaliser. In the 66th minute, Avram Grant brought on John Mosquera to replace Danilo Lopes and it proved to be a positive move. Just five minutes after coming on to the field, Mosquera brought his team level after Seiminlen Doungel’s square pass gave him an easy opportunity to tap into the net.In the final third of the game, both sides tried to find a winner but failed to create enough clear-cut chances.

Latest Tamil News -Virat Kohli’s perfect reply after being hit on ribs by Kagiso Rabada – Maalaimalar.com

201802050601108194_Virat-Kohlis-perfect-reply-after-being-hit-on-ribs-by-Kagiso_SECVPF
Team India led by Virat Kohli is looked as a team that fights hard. This ‘fighting hard‘ philosophy of Men In Blue is clearly reflected when they take on the opposition and the pack of young lads is headed the skipper himself. The ferocity, intensity and aggression exhibited by Kohli are result oriented. The Delhi batsman smacked his 33rd century in ODIs against South Africa in Durban and is on road to greatness but in between, he has to overcome some stinging hurdles. Such an example was on display in the second ODI between India and South Africa at Centurion.

In the 2nd ODI, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav’s wrist spin had bamboozled the hosts and laid the platform for India’s win. Coming down to chase a low total of 119, Rohit Sharma was quick to depart inviting Kohli to the mix. Indian skipper with Shikhar Dhawan stitched 93 runs to guide the visiting side to 9-wicket victory and take a 2-0 lead in the six-match ODI series.

While Dhawan hit his 24th ODI half-century, Kohli managed 46 runs as both the batsmen remained not out. In the end, the win looks sweet but Kohli had to take a fatal hit on his ribs. A stinging delivery from young South African pacer Kagiso Rabada slightly short outside off came towards Kohli who attempted a hook shot. The ball took an edge off Kohli’s bat and hit his midrib. The ball clocked at 142kmph was like a straight up rocket. However, Kohli took all the pain in and replied to it in great fashion. The next delivery in the same area Kohli makes no mistake and sends it out of the park.

Earlier, in the 2nd ODI, after electing to bowl first Virat Kohli and Co spanked the hosts to bowl them out for a meagre total of 118 in 32.2 overs, the lowest score at the venue. The previous low score at Centurion SuperSport Park was of 119 which Zimbabwe had managed in 2009 against South Africa. The third lowest total at the venue is of India only as they had made 125 against Australia in 2003.

Latest Tamil News – North Korea to stage Military parade before Olympics – Maalaimalar.com

201802010619140118_North-Korea-to-stage-military-parade-before-Olympics-report_SECVPF

North Korea will roll out its growing arsenal for a parade the day before opening ceremonies for the Winter Olympics will start in neighboring South Korea, according to a report. The iron-fisted regime plans to trot “hundreds” of rockets on Feb. 8, the anniversary of its military, hoping to “scare the hell out of the Americans,” a diplomatic source familiar with the plans. The Hwsong15 missiles, which Kim Jong Un’s isolated dictatorship first tested in November, are likely to make their way down the procession, the network reported.

The Winter Olympics will kick off a day later in Pyeongchang, where North and South Korea will compete side by side in a tense attempt at unity.News of the parade adds to the uneasy relationship between the two sides. The two nations, which have been separated by a demilitarized zone since the early 1950s, struck an agreement earlier this month to compete under the same flag.South Korean President Moon Jae-in hails the games as an opportunity to resume meaningful contact with the North following an extended period of tension and diplomatic stalemate over its nuclear weapons and missiles program.
North Korea plans to send 22 athletes to compete in skiing, skating and on a unified women’s ice hockey team. But on Monday, the hermetic nation pulled out of a joint cultural event at its Mount Kumgang with South Korea scheduled for Feb. 4.North Korean officials blamed negative press coverage in South Korea for its decision to end the pre-Olympic ceremony.
The event would’ve put K-pop stars alongside North Korean performers. But the two sides still plan to hold a joint performance when the Olympics begin in Pyeongchang, and will march as one during the opening ceremony.Tensions on the Korean peninsula have been high for the last year. President Trump has engaged in a rhetorical battle with Kim, calling the strong man “little rocket man” over his repeated missile tests.
Trump agreed earlier this month to hold off U.S. military exercises with South Korea until the Olympics end in mid-February.The commander-in-chief slammed Kim’s regime during his State of the Union address Tuesday night over its continued nuclear and missile tests. He also invited the parents of Otto Warmbier, the University of Virginia student held in North Korea for 17 months. He died last June of injuries he suffered in prison, shortly after he was returned to the U.S.

201801311112384777_Saudi-Arabia-rakes-in-107-billion-from-corruption-suspects_SECVPF (1)
Saudi Arabia says it has already recovered more than 400 billion riyals ($107 billion) from people arrested in a crackdown into alleged corruption. Most suspects have been released from detention after agreeing to pay settlements “in various types of assets, including real estate, commercial entities, securities, cash and other assets,” Saudi Arabia’s Attorney General Sheikh Saud Al Mojeb said in a statement on Tuesday.Authorities are now winding down the probe that began on November 4 when authorities arrested dozens of royals, government officials and prominent businessmen. Many were held at the luxury Ritz-Carlton hotel in Riyadh.
Sheikh Saud said 381 people had been subpoenaed in total. Some were released because officials were unable to provide “sufficient evidence” to support the allegations against them, while others were freed after “admitting to corruption allegations” and settling with the government. The attorney general said 56 people remain in custody. One of the highest profile suspects, billionaire Alwaleed bin Talal, was released on Saturday. The conditions of his freedom remain unclear, and the country’s ministry of information said it would not comment on his situation. Alwaleed, the founder of Kingdom Holding, told Reuters hours before his release that there were “no charges” against him.Saudi Arabia’s finance minister said last week that some of the cash recovered will be used to fund state handouts that were announced earlier by King Salman to ease the pain of government subsidy cuts and tax hikes.

Latest Tamil News – Padmaavat banned in Malaysia by Censor board – Maalaimalar.com

201801292015139789_Padmaavat-banned-in-Malaysia-by-censor-board_SECVPF
The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed Padmaavat has been banned in Malaysia by the country’s censor board as the film touches on the “sensitivities of Islam”.The chairman of National Film Censorship Board (LPF) Mohd Zamberi Abdul Aziz has said the lavishly-mounted film was not cleared as it might offend the Muslims in the country.“The storyline of the film touches on the sensitivities of Islam. That in itself is a matter of grave concern in Malaysia, a Muslim-majority country,” Aziz was quoted as saying by Free Malaysia Today.
The film, starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, is based on the 16th century epic, Padmaavat by poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi. The film faced controversy at home as well after various Rajput groups accused Bhansali of “distorting historical facts” with the portrayal of queen Padmavati, a claim repeatedly denied by him.
According to the report, Aziz said the distributors of the film had filed an appeal against the ban which would be taken up by the Film Appeals Committee on January 30. “Currently, LPF is unable to provide further comments as the film distributor has submitted an appeal to the appeals committee.“Therefore, further comments will only be issued after the appeals committee has made its decision,” Aziz said.
The film was released on January 25 in India after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cleared it last month with a ‘U/A’ certificate and five modifications, including title change from Padmavati to Padmaavat. In Pakistan, the censor board cleared film without any cuts for screening with a ‘U’ certification.
