But the Saurashtra all-rounder is now focusing his attention on batting. “Mahi bhai told me that I will get batting opportunities in the IPL this year. He said that I have the ability of a proper batsman, and I am not the flash in the pan type of batsman. And I should think like that,” Jadeja said in an interview to New Indian Express.

Jadeja, who has been retained by the Chennai Super Kings for this year’s IPL, along with Dhoni, said, “It was really encouraging for me. So, I am concentrating more on the batting aspect of my game and trying to get used to playing the anchor role.” “I am quite happy with the way I am bowling. In fact, I am focusing more on my batting now. I do not want to be a player who is known for hitting those 20-odd runs. I want to play the anchor role, just like I did today.” With World Cup only 16 months away, Jadeja is not ignoring his bowling strength and said that he was trying different angles to bowl. “It  is the most important thing. I am trying to do that. I am using different angles to bowl.”

Speaking on his performance in Vijay Hazare tournament, he said, “If I get wickets owing to mistakes of batsmen, I am not satisfied from the inside. If I think I have done the things I wanted to do, like varying the pace, I am content with that. If I am satisfied with the way I have bowled, I do not think much about other things. If I am executing my plans, I am happy. The pain was unbearable sometimes while playing certain shots. But this was really important for my self-confidence. It is morale boosting. To chase the target (330) under the circumstances is really special for me.”

“The results are more about execution for us. We had to chop and change a lot of the side depending on what’s happening with the Test arena and going from Test to non-Test and obviously Tests are a focus for us,” Lehmann was quoted as saying by ESPN Cricinfo. “So we haven’t been able to have a settled one day side. I’d like to see us play with a settled side over six months and see what the result is then, see how we play. Lehmann also suggested that skipper Steve Smith and selectors have to be cautious with their selection of players in the buildup to the event. However, the sides improved performance in the ongoing Twenty20 Tri-series gives him hope for a turnaround in the limited-overs format.

“The improved T20 performance gives you food for thought after a long, tough Test series… fresh guys coming in. We’ll sit down at the end of the South African series, but we’ve always got to look forward. World Cup’s coming along pretty quickly, I think there’s about 22 games to go before we play our first game. So we’ll have to settle on a group of players, we think we’ve got a really good group,” Lehmann revealed. Australia, who has qualified for the final, will travel to New Zealand to play their fourth game of the tri-series against the hosts. The Test squad will head west for their four-Test tour of South Africa.

Holding described Kohli as one of the top three batsmen in the world at the moment along with England’s Joe Root and Australia’s Steve Smith. According to Holding, however, great batsmen score runs everywhere and Kohli is yet to do so.

“Virat Kohli is a fantastic batsman. I was asked to name three top cricketers and I included Kohli in that list. He is a very very good player. When I see him score runs in England, I would call him a great player. I like people who score runs everywhere. He is an extremely good player,” Holding told Mumbai Mirror.Holding believes Kohli is emotional about is cricket and needs to further improve his captaincy.

“But as a captain, he has some work to do. I don’t want to condemn him too much because I like to have my own way as a captain. I like to be given the team I want all the time. But it is still not the right way to go. There got to be discussions with the wiser heads from time to time, come to conclusions and flesh out different arguments. I get an impression that he is getting what he wants. “He is very emotional about his cricket. He means everything he wants to do. In time he will learn. Because he has been so successful since he took over, it is hard for him to change. He has to see other viewpoints and arrive at consensus,” Holding further added.

Kohli is just the fourth Indian to win the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy, following in the footsteps of batting greats Sachin Tendulkar (2010), Rahul Dravid (2004) and teammate Ravichandran Ashwin (2016). “It’s the first time winning the Garfield Sobers Trophy, and it’s a huge honour for me,” Kohli said in a statement. “It’s probably the biggest of all in world cricket and two Indians getting it back-to-back makes it more special.” Kohli was also crowned the world’s best one-day batsman, winning that title for the second time since 2012.

During the voting period from 21 September 2016 to end-2017, Kohli scored 2,203 Test runs at an average of 77.80 including eight centuries. He accumulated 1,818 runs in the one-day format including seven centuries. The 29-year-old was also bestowed a rare honour — selected to captain the ICC’s Test and ODI sides, a team in name only that comprises the best players from around the globe.India emerged as the world’s best Test side in 2017 under Kohli, with an unbroken series winning streak at home. “The coaches and the players there like Matthew Hayden, Michael Hussey, Muttiah Muralitharan had a fine influence on me. I have learnt a lot from them. It’s not a team but like a family,” Raina, who will return to Chennai after leading Gujarat Lions for two seasons, said. The left-hander said he can’t wait to don CSK jersey again in the upcoming season of IPL. “The amount of love I have got from fans was great. It was a great team atmosphere. And you have to be strong in shoulder to bat well.” “Gyming is one thing but you have to do a lot of strengthening as well. At the same time you have to ensure that you body regroups. It’s very much demanding. Still I would say it’s 40 percent gym and 60 percent skill,” Raina added.

Asked about the motivation to play in the Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament, he said: “I play each and every tournament with the same intent. The tournament has many big names and before the IPL and upcoming Asia Cup it’s a nice opportunity.” The CSK vice-captain further said the tournament will give him an opportunity to see the talented youngsters ahead of the much-anticipated IPL auction on January 27 and 28. “There are a lot of exciting youngsters like Rinku Singh, there’s also Kuldeep (Yadav) who will play a couple of matches before heading to South Africa. It’s a chance to see many youngsters,” Raina said.

Raina said small town cricketers have changed the mindset of the game completely. “The small town cricketers have done well in recent times. Look at (Mohammed) Shami. Bhuvi (Bhuvneswar Kumar) comes from Meerut, there’s also Praveen (Kumar), Zaheer. All these players have changed the mindset,” he said. Raina also backed the under-fire Indian team who had already lost the ongoing Test series in South Africa. Raina, however, argued that Virat Kohli‘s men have done decently and pointed out India’s bowling was a revelation in the first two Tests in South Africa. “They have done well, almost won the first Test. We fought hard and bowled well. South Africa too have not been able to score runs against us. From four innings they (South Africa) are yet to score a century,” he said referring to Virat Kohli’s 153 in the second Test at Centurion. “Our batting has done well in patches. We have to support the team. We cannot dismiss them, we have some big names who have done well over the years,” he concluded.

You can create greeting messages and view some simple analytics so you can see which messages are most effective.

According a WhatsApp spokesperson, the current feature set will remain free in the long term, but WhatsApp plans on charging for additional capabilities in the future. Basically it’ll eventually take on a freemium model, but at least the company doesn’t plan on taking away any existing features, and you are getting a fair bit of functionality to start. The app is already up and running from the Google Play Store in Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, the U.K. and the U.S. The rest of the world will be able to access the app “in the coming weeks.”

Rajasthan Police team came to arrest me. Someone told me plan was being made to kill me in an encounter,” Togadia claimed.Togadia, who went missing yesterday after Rajasthan Police came to arrest him in a ten-year old case and was later found admitted to a hospital in unconscious state, claimed that attempts were being made to silence him for raising the voice of the Hindu community.The VHP leader said he will surrender before the court in Rajasthan after he is discharged from hospital.”Yesterday morning, I was performing pooja, when messages came that a large contingent of Rajasthan Police, along with Gujarat Police, was coming to encounter me (kill me in an encounter),” Togadia claimed.”After informing my security guards, I, along with a VHP worker, took an auto-rickshaw, and went to Theltej area of the city. I called up Rajasthan chief minister (Vasundhara Raje) and home minister (Gulabchand Kataria) but they denied their police had come to Gujarat to arrest me. This raised more suspicion and I switched off my mobile phones,” he said.”I contacted lawyers of Rajasthan and told them to get the arrest warrant cancelled. But they said that it was difficult as court issued it. So I decided to go to Jaipur by taking a flight and appear before the court (in Gangaput),” he said.”However, when I was going in the auto-rickshaw to the airport, I felt dizzy and asked the driver to take me to some hospital.
Then I fell unconscious. When I regained consciousness, I was at an unknown hospital,” he said.”I do not fear death, I do not fear encounter. But I had to protect myself while following the law of the land,” he said.”I have been raising my voice for Hindus. I am raising issues like Ram temple, national law to ban cow slaughter, resettlement of Kashmiri Hindus in that state, giving farmers fair price for their crops. But an attempt is being made to silence my voice,” he said.”Old cases are being reopened, so that I can be arrested. An attempt is being made to stifle my voice by arresting me in different states,” he said.To a query, Togadia said he would reveal the names of those behind the plot to silence his voice, at the right time.”Rajasthan Police had come to arrest me, but the chief minister and home minister of that state were not aware about it. Same way it happened in Gujarat. When Gujarat court issued a warrant against me, the Gujrat chief minister (Vijay Rupani) here, or home minster (Pradeepsinh Jadeja) were not aware about it,” he said.”On whose orders are police is taking such action will be revealed by me at an appropriate time and with evidence,” Togadia said.An arrest warrant was issued by Ahmedabad court recently against Togadia and he had appeared in the court on January 6 to get it cancelled.He also claimed that CBI was threatening doctors associated with VHP.The mystery over Togadia’s disappearance yesterday has deepened, with a senior police officer maintaining that neither the local Sola police nor Rajasthan Police had arrested him.
The VHP had yesterday claimed that Togadia was detained by Rajasthan Police in connection with the case, but the latter denied this. Sola police station officials said a team of Rajasthan Police visited them yesterday to execute an arrest warrant against Togadia under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), but could not find him at his residence.According to a statement issued yesterday by the VHP in Delhi after Togadia was found, Togadia, who suffered from low blood sugar levels, was found in an unconscious state in Shahibaug area and was taken to Chandramani Hospital located in the same area.VHP workers had taken to the streets yesterday and halted traffic and held demonstrations after their leader was untraceable.

The Andhra Pradesh government will sign an MoU with the e-commerce giant, China based Alibaba company in respect of imparting training in e-commerce and technical skill development to the unemployed youth. Minister for IT Nara Lokesh and Minister for Tourism Development Bhuma Akhila Priya held discussions with the representatives of Alibaba Company in this regard in Hyderabad on Saturday, an official release here said. Under the agreement with the the company, it is to impart technical training in e-commerce to the unemployed youth and provide them jobs. Ms Akhila Priya said within 10 days, the AP government would sign an MoU with the Alibaba company in this regard. The Minister informed that initially she held discussions with the representatives of Alibaba company for employment generation in Tourism department.However, it was proposed to expand the programme to other sectors also. In this regard, Alibaba company Business Development Head in India, Wonder Chang, TDI Global Head Sanjay Sharma held discussions with Mr Nara Lokesh. Mr Wonder Chang said the company would impart training to over 20,000 unemployed youth in e-commerce, marketing and technical training in order to augment their employment opportunities and help them getting jobs.

Bouncing back strongly from its recent failure, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Friday successfully launched the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C40) from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota.The PSLV -C40 successfully placed Cartosat-2 series satellite into sun synchronous orbit, Isro said.
“ISRO is starting 2018 with the successful launch of our Cartosat small satellite, nanosat and microsat and 28 customer satellites,” A.S.Kiran Kumar, Isro’s chairman said to loud applause within the command centre.The success of Friday’s launch comes about four months after Isro’s PSLV-C39 failed following a technical snag involving the heat shield.
“The last launch on the PSLV, whatever heat shield problems we had faced, the committees went through rigorously and then found corrective measures that were required to make the system more robust and today what has happened vindicates that the problem is properly understood and rectified and we are extremely happy to provide a new year gift to the country with Cartosat series,” Kumar said.
The 710 kg Cartosat-2 series satellite for earth observation and 30 co-passenger satellites together weighing about 613 kg at lift-off.The co-passenger satellites comprise one Microsatellite and one Nanosatellite from India as well as 3 Microsatellites and 25 Nanosatellites from six countries, namely, Canada, Finland, France, Republic of Korea, UK and USA. The total weight of all the 31 satellites carried onboard PSLV-C40 is about 1323 kg, according to information provided by ISRO.

WhatsApp is one of the most widely used instant messaging services worldwide, and comes with end-to-end encryption that promises your conversations are safe. A group of researchers, however, have claimed that a security flaw can allow WhatsApp Group chats to be snooped.According to researchers, the security flaw can let anyone with control of servers of the instant messaging service add people to a WhatsApp Group chat without the permission of the admin of the group. We chose to analyse WhatsApp, because it is one of the most widely used instant messenger applications with more than one billion users, noted the paper on WhatsApp’s group messaging vulnerabilities.
“The confidentiality of the group is broken as soon as the uninvited member can obtain all the new messages and read them,” Wired cites Paul Rosler, who was one of the Ruhr University researchers who co-authored a paper on the group messaging vulnerabilities. “Only an administrator of a WhatsApp group can invite new members, but WhatsApp doesn’t use any authentication mechanism for that invitation that its own servers can’t spoof,” the paper said. So, the server can simply add a new member to a group with no interaction on the part of the administrator.
The smartphone of every participant in the group then automatically shares secret keys with that new member, giving him or her full access to any future messages, claimed the researchers. The described weaknesses in WhatsApp enables attacker, who controls the WhatsApp server, to break the transport layer security, to take full control over a group. Entering the group however leaves traces since this operation is listed in the graphical user interface.
“The WhatsApp server can therefore use the fact that it can stealthily reorder and drop messages in the group. Thereby it can cache sent messages to the group, read their content first and decide in which order they are delivered to the members. Additionally, the WhatsApp server can forward these messages to the members individually such that a subtly chosen combination of messages can help it to cover the traces,” the paper added.
Facebook’s Chief Security Officer Alex Stamos in no time responded to the WhatsApp vulnerability report and tweeted, “Read the Wired article today about WhatsApp – scary headline! But there is no [sic] a secret way into WhatsApp groups chats.” Stamos defended WhatsApp and said, “On WhatsApp, existing members of a group are notified when new people are added. WhatsApp is built so group messages cannot be send to hidden users and provides multiple ways for users to confirm who receives a message prior to it being sent.”
The company further claimed that it has looked at the vulnerability report following the researcher’s plan would necessitate a change to the way WhatsApp provides a popular feature called group invite links which are used millions of times per day. “In sum, the clear notifications and multiple ways of checking who is in your group prevents silent eavesdropping. The content of messages sent in WhatsApp groups remain protected by end-to-end encryption,” Stamos added.
